THE WRONG MISSY
Oof.
Where do I start?
The continued partnership of Happy Madison and Netflix ages more and more poorly every year that a film is released by the studio. With hits like the Irishman and Marriage Story, it begs the question on why Netlfix continues to encourage this nonsense.
Let's get the good out of the way. Lauren Lapkus has moments where I feel she is the only one who shows any enthusiasm or any focus on her own comedic moments and timing.
And that's all the good.
The film meanders from scene to scene without any heart or effort. Every shot is washed by a bland coloration that gives it the life of an office cubicle.
David Spade doesn't seem bothered to try in this film, sleep walking from scene to scene with no real intention or purpose. It's odd he would want to take on a role like this considering he hasn't had a leading role in some time now.
It really isn't worth going into, but the film is a mess. During these times where everyone seems to stuck indoors with nothing to do, your time would be better served watching a different movie, or perhaps picking up a hobby.
