David Hartley is a writer based out of Austin, Texas.

Originally from Dallas, David attended Texas Tech University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting. At Tech he studied everything from analyzing Science Fiction, writing his own stories, to eventually having his first play, Execution, produced by the School of Theatre & Dance.

Spending six years in Chicago, David had the opportunity to work with new and established playwrights in the city to help hone and produce new works. He produced a short play, Maybe; Unknown, with Tabula Rasa Theatre and his first full length play, Ghosts of Chernobyl, with Theatre Above the Law.

Relocating to Austin, Texas in 2020, David looks to continue to produce new works, as well as publish his own material.
